Have talked to everyone countless times, especially the wizard, but still can't get magic fist. Any help would be welcomed.
Go to the wall that blocks your way to the altar. Then talk to the weird guy who says a bunch of random stuff. After he has said "MageFist" you should be able to get the MageFist from the wizard in the pub.

entered the cave 27 times and talked to the man but he says everything except "mage fist".
He only says it once. He should say it the first time you talk to him, and after that he won't. So chances are you already spoke to him and he has said that.
Help! I'm stuck with this wall and a mage fist. Guy in the cave keeps repeating same sentences. I've checked the script, although I'm not sure how to check story variable on my current position. I assumed its 21, but when I talk to wizard, there is no magefist option. Also, if I choose 'leave' option, Dink remains frozen (you've probably forgot to unfreeze him, but I dont want to ruin expirience of game, and see the entire map searching for the bar screen). Please see if it is a bug, or I had to do something before that.
When you talk to the wizard, you need to ask for a spell. Then he says he'll teach you the MageFist for 1000 gold. If you don't have enough gold, then the purchase option won't show up. About the freezing bug, there shouldn't be any. I've tested it through so many times.
Can you link me the save file? I could check it out. Just zip the save file and upload it here.

Hmm, I didn't have the 1000 gold coins, I'll check that before uploading save file, the trouble is (i'm playing the game right now), i'm stuck in some underground cave (with walls, you reach it via teleport) full of boncas slayers, and potions. I've killed everything, but I dont know how to get out...
Bah, I'll have to kill everyone in the cave again. Oh well, I've uploaded the save file.

Ah yes, a nice cave which you shouldn't enter until you're really really strong. The exit of the first floor is in the floor. But if you had any trouble with the monsters on the first floor, you may as well give up and reload a save game.

The only way you could have possibly gotten to that cave at this point is by cheating.
Which one? One with babbling guy, or potions? Either way, both were accessible, although I added 2 strenght points, but I doubt it would change anything. Fighting is too hard for me.
Alright. Please explain to me in exact detail what you've done so far and how you accessed this "cave with monsters".
I've pushed (punched) the button that turns off magical fence blocking the cave that leads to Tutras. In that cave, there are two ways, one leading to Tutras, other to a small cliffside with familiar corpse and honorgame. North from the honorgame, there is a cave entrance with a sign 'he be brave who enters', one screen up, and you get to teleport machine that sends you to another cave (you find yourself between four torches). Full of not so easy monsters to beat. The problem is, there is no way back. I've reloaded the game, as shevek told me to do, but I cannot do anything more in tutras, because all side quests must be performed in yet unaccessible areas. And i cannot break the wall in cave with babbling guy (where altar is, under a burnable tree).
Ah problem solved, at least with magefist. There is this messanger guy, and you need to talk twice to him, and he must tell you to find altar. And I didn't do that. I've found the altar first.
See, this is what cheating does to ya. You aren't supposed to be able to enter that dungeon until you have a pretty high magic (can't remember the exact value now). I doubt you have gotten such a high magic without cheating at this point. That is the hardest dungeon of the game, so you don't wanna be going there at that point yet. I assume cheating may have something to do with that other problem you've got too. Although I'm not sure how that could have happened.
EDIT: Ah, good job on figuring that MageFist thing out by yourself.
